Krishnan Ramachandran is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD&CEO) of Niva Bupa Health Insurance. He is responsible for driving Niva Bupa’s next phase of growth with a view to realize the vision of becoming the most trusted health insurance company in India.

Krishnan is an industry veteran and a well-recognized name in the health insurance space. He brings over 23 years of extensive experience across Health Insurance, Healthcare & Life Sciences industries. Krishnan is known for his focus on core institution building practices with varied experience in transforming health insurance operations, driving a high growth distribution strategy and leveraging technology for enabling business growth.

He has played a key role in shaping the evolution of the health insurance industry in India through leadership roles in the CII Policy & Standards Committee on Health Insurance. In addition, he has a diverse experience across domestic and international markets coupled with a track record of delivering consistent and profitable growth.

Prior to Niva Bupa, Krishnan was the CEO of Apollo Munich Health Insurance. Krishnan holds an MBA degree from IIM Kolkata and a B Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Madras.

Vishwanath is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team in Niva Bupa Health Insurance and apart from Finance he is also leading Analytics and Data Science function.

He has close to 3 decades of rich experience in analytics, actuarial and finance functions in some of the reputed organisations in India.

In his previous stint he has worked with Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company Limited for almost 12 years and was holding position of Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer at the time of exit as part of the key leadership team.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (erstwhile ICWAI). He is also a Charterholder from CFA Institute, US and a Fellow Member of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (FIA) and Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with specialisation in Health Insurance.

Ankur Kharbanda heads sales function for Niva Bupa. He is responsible for driving the growth across retail and institutional sales channels.

Ankur’s career journey spans over a period of over 19 years, primarily in the health insurance industry. In his last assignment, he was the Chief Business Officer – Retail at Apollo Munich Health Insurance.

Ankur has experience of handling distribution through diverse retail channels including Agency, Bancassurance, Digital, Partnerships and Direct channels with a sharp focus on building scale and profitably.

Ankur is an MBA from Fore School of Management, with specialization in Insurance.

Suraj Mishra heads the Talent Academy Niva Bupa. Talent Academy focuses on recruiting and developing talent from identified educational institutions, across functions; with the objective of building breadth and depth in our talent pool.

He brings with him rich professional experience of over 31 years in various leadership roles across business verticals in General Insurance and Health Insurance sectors. Over the years Suraj has demonstrated success in business strategy design and execution, P&L management, sales and distribution, process and customer service excellence and more.

Aseem brings in nearly two decades of extensive experience in sales and distribution and has worked across multitude of channels including Agency, Banca, Special Markets and Direct Sales.

At Niva Bupa, Aseem is helping accelerate business momentum by strengthening partner relationships with leading banks. Aseem has helped build a strong distribution network through leading banks of the country for Niva Bupa. He is also responsible for ensuring that right health insurance solutions are provided to varied customer segments of public and private sector bank partners of Niva Bupa.

Before embarking on a 5 year entrepreneurial stint, Aseem worked in various business roles with Max Life across Agency, Direct Sales & Bancassurance. In his last role, he was the Corporate Vice President & Head – Direct Sales Team with Max Life.

Aseem holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Fore School of Management, New Delhi and is a Bachelor of Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology, Gwalior.

Dr. Bhabatosh Mishra heads product development and Claims and Underwriting at Niva Bupa.

He is an insurance industry veteran with almost two decades of experience across Life, General and Health Insurance, out of which more than 16 years have been in the Health Insurance. He brings a rich and varied perspective, having handled several portfolios including Underwriting, Products, Claims, and Provider network management, Operations, Customer Service, Innovation and Fraud management. One of the founding team members at Apollo Munich Health Insurance, his last role was as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he has also worked with HDFC Standard Life Insurance, SBI Life and Cholamandalam MS General Insurance.

Bhabatosh has been actively involved with industry bodies like FICCI, CII and the regulator on many industry initiatives. He has also authored the chapters on Underwriting, Product Development and basic actuarial science for the Diploma course on health insurance delivered by Insurance Institute of India. Several products developed by him have won accolades amongst insurance products within the Asia Pacific region.

Padmesh Nair leads Operations and Customer Service at Niva Bupa. In his current role, he is responsible to scale up our service delivery model and provide seamless customer and distributor experience.

Padmesh has an overall professional experience of close to two decades in the Health Insurance domain. In his career, he has handled a wide range of portfolios - Customer Experience, Relationship Management, Sales, Operations, Claims and Network Management. Prior to joining Niva Bupa, Padmesh was heading the Digital SBU at Apollo Munich Health Insurance.

Padmesh is an engineer and has completed his Masters in Insurance and Risk Management from CASS Business School, London.

Tarun Katyal is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization ,setting up of HR processes and policies, development of employee motivation plans and providing HR Support to business etc.

Prior to joining us, he served as CHRO for Sistema Shyam Teleservices for 8 years. Tarun is a Senior Human Resources Professional, with over 25 years of deep diverse sectoral experience across Service sector & Manufacturing industries, including large Multi-National corporations and Indian Corporates like Aditya Birla Retail Ltd, Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt Limited, Bharti Airtel and Vardhman Group. Tarun has a post graduation degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh with specialization in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

Partha Banerjee heads the Legal & Compliance vertical at Niva Bupa. He provides comprehensive support to business on legal & compliance issues. In addition, he fulfills legal & secretarial requirements for corporate governance. Partha manages relationships with JV partners, build in-house legal capability and institutionalizes “compliance” awareness and the need for its adherence. His role also spans across managing relationships with regulators & compliance function at Niva Bupa within statutory and legal guidelines.

Partha brings on board 20 years of diverse experience in Corporate, Commercial (Domestics & International), Taxation, IPR, Exchange Control, M&A, (Domestic & International), Labour Laws and other substantive and procedural laws. In his previous role, Partha was working with Chhand Legal Associates as a Managing Partner providing legal advice on M&A, funding, corporate advisory and Litigation support to all the clients. Prior to that he has worked with organizations like ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, NIIT Ltd., ITC Ltd., and other law firms.

A marketing specialist with over 13 years of rich experience, Nimish will lead the Brand Planning, Communications, Digital and Social Media platforms, Consumer Insights, Loyalty and Customer Relationship Management for Niva Bupa.

An industry veteran, Nimish brings with him extensive experience across Brand Strategy, Category P&L, Growth Hacking, Digital Marketing, Innovation & People Management. He will play a key role in driving Niva Bupa to its next phase of growth during the brand transition journey.

Nimish is a post-graduate in Business Management from IMT, Ghaziabad and has led various marketing functions across major companies. Prior to joining Niva Bupa, he was the Head of Marketing at Infoedge for recruitment portfolio which includes Naukri.com, NaukriGulf, FirstNaukri and other businesses. He has led the marketing function at diverse set of power brands like Dulux, Britannia & Henkel across India, Middle East, and South Asia.

Dhiresh brings with him 28+ years of rich experience and has a strong background in various domains such as consumer banking, lending, credit cards, securities, investments, wealth management, and life insurance.

He has worked with leading organizations such as CitiBank, Kotak Life Insurance, and Citi financial in India and overseas.

Prior to joining Niva Bupa, he was working with Uno Bank, a digital Neo Bank where he served as the Group CIO and was instrumental in developing a banking system from scratch, obtaining regulatory approvals and launching the bank.

Dhiresh has done his B.Tech Honours from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Vikas has 22 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Tax across multiple industries such as manufacturing, BPO and insurance.

He is currently the Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Prior to joining Niva Bupa, he spent 6 years with Max India in the strategy function.

He has also had stints with Larsen and Toubro and GE Capital in the early part of his career.

Vikas is a rank holder Chartered Accountant and has a Post graduate programme in management from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad specializing in Strategy and Finance.
